Minnesota's environment and natural resources 

The LCMR is seeking ideas and advice on how money from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund should be spent. The Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund was created in 1991 by a constitutional amendment. According to the MN Constitution, the Trust Fund should be used for the:

"protection, conservation, preservation, and enhancement of the state’s air, water, land, fish, wildlife and other natural resources."

Beginning July 1, 2007 approximately $44 million ($22 million per year) will be available from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund for the protection and enhancement of Minnesota's environment and natural resources.
